Alden Bostwick is a wistful old soul whose Kansas roots and 20 years of classical music study have propelled her music into an enchanting world of stories and sounds. She attended St. Olaf College before a solo year abroad on a Fulbright grant in the Czech Republic in 2021. While receiving a master's degree in music composition from the University of North Texas, Alden composed and created her debut album, Somewhere Wild. Her clear voice, lovely instrumentals, and brutal truths transport listeners beyond the mundaneness of life to mountain valleys filled with wildflowers and quaint little seaside towns, to places that might exist or may only exist in the minds of those who still have hope for our complicated world. Her music feels like holding the hand of someone you love, the orange sunset light hitting their eyes just so. Once the music fades and a quiet stillness comes over you, she hopes the light remains.
